Net Control Format & Guidelines

Greeting: Calling all amateurs on frequency. This is the Lyon County Amateur Radio Emergency Services net meeting for Tuesday, (date).

This is NV7LC. Your net control operator tonight is (name & call sign).

This is a directed net and all visitors are asked to standby until called.  Any station with emergency traffic can interrupt the net at any time.

Prolog: The Lyon County Amateur Radio Emergency Services Group operates this net.  The purpose of this net is to pass traffic, provide bulletins and announcements, and provide information related to amateur radio emergency communications.  We encourage the use of international phonetics.

Requests: Any station with a bulletin, traffic, or a contact request, please come now and specify which. (If a bulletin call the station and have them proceed. If a contact, find out if the station requested is on the net. If so, log the stations and move on. If traffic, find out where it is going and see if that station, or another station on the net, can handle the traffic. Log the stations and continue.)

Pre-call: If there are any LCARES members who are mobile or on limited emergency power who would like to check in now, please call NV7LC.

Roll call: Roll call follows. If you are a member of LCARES and you do not hear your call sign, please check in as a missed member at the end of the roll call.

Please do not close your station without being excused from the net.

This is NV7LC. Please listen for your call.  (Refer to Page 2 for the members.)

Late call: This completes our current roster. If you are a net member and arrived late, or were missed, please check in at this time.

Visitors: This is a call for visitors who wish to check in to the net. Please state your call sign, name, and location slowly and clearly. This is NV7LC - come now.

Closing: This concludes our net meeting for this Tuesday evening, (date).
I would like to thank everyone for their participation.
